The Casper Municipal Band performs a concert series of 8 performances annually in Washington Park at the Shallenberger Memorial Band Shell. Concerts take place on Thursday evening at 7:30pm. Admission is free.

All members of the Casper Municipal Band are selected by audition. Among our ranks we have community respected doctors, lawyers, educators, students, and professional musicians.

The Municipal Band performs a concert every Thursday in June and four Thursday’s in July. We also perform in the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo Parade.

Brent Rose took over the conducting duties of the Casper Municipal Band in 2022 from retired Muni Band Director Roger Fenner after his 33 year tenure as the conductor.
Mr. Rose recently retired from teaching after 25 years of directing high school band programs in Wyoming including Buffalo High School and most recently, Kelly Walsh High School right here in Casper. Brent is currently the Assistant Commissioner of the Wyoming High School Activities Association and the Executive Director of the Wyoming Music Educators Association.

Bring your own chair or blanket. Parking is available behind the band shell or on the street. Concerts begin at 7:30pm and last around an hour
